K-pop supergroup BTS has announced a massive 79-date world tour, marking its return to live performances after a four-year hiatus — a comeback expected to generate more than $1 billion in revenue across concerts, merchandise, and media.
The tour will span Asia, Europe, North America, and Latin America, with major stops in London, Tokyo, Munich, Sydney, Los Angeles, and São Paulo, positioning it as one of the largest global tours of 2026 and 2027.
The band has not performed outside South Korea and the United States since 2018. Its last world tour set records for a K-pop act, grossing approximately $246 million and making BTS the first Korean group to headline London’s Wembley Stadium.
The new tour will begin with three nights at Goyang Stadium in South Korea on April 9, 2026, before moving across Asia, Europe, and the Americas. The group said additional dates will be announced as needed.
Tickets go on sale to fans on January 22, with general public sales opening two days later.
According to Billboard, BTS and its management company, BigHit Music / HYBE, are expected to generate more than $1 billion (£740 million) from the tour and related activity, including ticket sales, merchandise, licensing, albums, and streaming.
